My Platform
Improving learning
To establish a rolling review of our District pre K to 12 curriculum, to promote the most important learning skills to our students. To allow Parents the chance to review the curriculium and review the books in our school libraries.Retain and support qualifed staff
By retaining our qualified educators and reducing classroom turnover, our students will have a more secure and positive learning enviroment. Small class sizes will enable our dedicated teachers to give more attention to our students.Establish a proper district budget
A balanced budget must include at least three years of future planning. Our primary budget objectives should be for providing the most resources to our teachers and classrooms.Working towards our future students
To work with the others on the Governing Board and Administration to make the best decisions for our students.Sustainable infrastructure
To do all we can to be ready for any future learning, Chromebooks, I-Pads, internet band space to provide on line learning to all students.Support our School Events
I will continue to attend as many school events as possible, to support our students, staff and great PTO organizations.
Information about Scott
Pillar 1
Family is important
My wife Gail and I moved our young family to Cave Creek in the spring of 2002. One reason was the great school district. Both of our children went through Cave Creek schools. They were in the first class at the then new Lone Mountain Elementary in the fall of 2002, then on to Desert Arroyo Middle school then to Cactus Shadows where Colby graduated in 2012 and Shelby in 2014.
Pillar 2
Volunteer to make a difference
I'm a current member of the Kiwanis Club of Carefree and a active member serving on the Scholarship Committee. Last May, I was fortunate to be on this committee that awarded 32 local high school seniors over $360,000 in scholarships.

Pillar 3
Giving back to my Community
I'm proud to be one of the founders of Cave Creek Youth Football & Cheerleading, established in the spring of 2002. I have been fortunate to serve the first six years as President then nine years as Deputy Commissoner.
i'm now back serving President again this year.
" Scott has been a tireless volunteer with Cave Creek Youth Football and Cheer. Giving all kids in his community a chance to participate and make life long friends." - Robert Casciola, author " 1st and Forever", now out on Amazon

Leadership needed for Cave Creek Schools
As our children attended Cave Creek schools, I was always an active parent, from being a room parent and field trip helper, to volunteering as a lunch room helper to working in the library and serving as a PTO Co-President. Then as my chilrden moved into middle and high school, I started to serve on several district committees, including the Blueprint Committee, the Calendar Committee, the Civics Committee, the"Rebuild the Nest" Committee as well as serving for five years on the high school site council.
"Mr. Bebee and I were proud to present Scott with the CCUSD Excellence Award, for his continued service to the School District".
Dr. Debbie Burdick, past Superintendedt of CCUSD.
